Eric S. Vymyslicky, DVMERIC S. VYMYSLICKY, DVM - Owner
Dr. Eric Vymyslicky has been owner and medical director of Hanover Veterinary Hospital since 2007. He took ownership of Hanover Veterinary Hospital after six years of practicing in the city of Chicago. There he was a highly respected clinician at a progressive neighborhood practice, with expertise in veterinary dentistry, surgery, and critical care. Dr. Eric earned a reputation for listening to all of his clients' concerns while addressing questions about their pets' health in a very straightforward and common-sense manner. He believes that the veterinarian's most important duties are to be a supportive partner for the pet owner and be an advocate for their animal companion's health. He empowers his clients with accurate information on their pets' health and offering treatments based on the most current medical research. He holds a veterinary license in both Indiana and Illinois, and is accredited by the USDA. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Eric is a native of the Chicago area. He has been active in the veterinary field from an early age, and performed his undergraduate and professional studies at Iowa State University. During that time, he volunteered at the Iowa State Wildlife Rehabilitation center, worked for five years as a veterinary technician, and was editor-in-chief for the College of Veterinary Medicine's student-run medical journal. He graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He plays several musical instruments, including the violin and piano, and in his spare time he enjoys playing ice hockey with Hockey North America. He and his wife have one daughter and share their home with their dog Pixie and cat Billa.
